BJJ Flow Notes

Choose a starting position

“Under” means you’re under your opponent’s control in the named position. Under Mount means they have mounted you; Under Closed Guard means they hold you in their closed guard. You don’t have to be physically underneath them. In neutral positions such as Standing or 50/50, it simply selects the other perspective.

Load dataset

How would you like to load it?

Merge combines moves and positions with matching names and types, keeps notes from both datasets, and keeps your existing connection priorities. Different saved flows are retained; conflicting names get a suffix. Replace opens the incoming dataset, including its saved flows.

Add transition

Leave an endpoint unknown to save an incomplete transition. It appears here until both endpoints are set.

Edit shared position / move

Name, type, and notes are shared by both perspectives. Choose Type first. For positions, check “Under opponent’s control” when you’re under your opponent’s control: Under Mount means they have mounted you; Under Closed Guard means they hold you in their closed guard. “Under” describes control, not necessarily being physically underneath. For submissions or escapes / reversals, check “Receive opponent’s move” when your opponent is applying the move to you; the displayed move starts with “Receive”. Uncheck it for your own position or move. In neutral positions such as Standing or 50/50, the checkbox simply selects the other perspective. Switching perspective keeps the same shared name and notes.
